‘Divine’ Intervention

Divine Shoes announced today that it is hosting a shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls™ Inc., the international footwear charity that delivers shoes to needy people around the world.  Every 28 seconds Soles4Soles provides a pair of shoes to someone in need.  The nonprofit hopes to donate a pair every 14 seconds in 2008.

Harlem Renaissance Returns

This January 26th, at the Parris Island Lyceum, Harlem Renaissance 2008 will celebrate the historic musical collaboration of Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington. Books Sandwiched In

    It’s a new time and a new place but The Friends of the Beaufort County Library kick off their  22th annual Books Sandwiched In program on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008 with the same stimulating entertainment, coffee and cookies.    For eight weeks, through Feb. 25, book lovers are invited to gather at 1 p.m. on Mondays in the Sea Island Presbyterian Church on Lady’s Island for an opportunity to listen to  reviews of eight best sellers or books of local interest.

Beaufort Orchestra: From Sacred to Swing
