The Photography Club of Beaufort To Host a Cool & Refreshing Exhibit

Splish, Splash!  “The Water Around Us” is the focus for the Photography Club of Beaufort's 2008 annual exhibit.  At the beginning of every year the club chooses an assigned subject for members to photograph during the next 12 months.

The culmination of the project is the annual exhibit during the month of December at the Beaufort branch of the county Library.  Although the Library is renovating the upstairs area, the gallery area is still available for the exhibit.  This year it was interesting to see how each club member interpreted the subject.  Photographs not only depict typical Lowcountry scenes, but also include images taken in the studio and from around the world.  The club is very excited about the outstanding caliber of photos that will be exhibited and encourages the community and those traveling through Beaufort to see the show.

An opening reception will be on Friday, Dec. 5th from 5 – 7pm, in conjunction with the Night on the Town festivities.  The exhibit will run through December 31.  For more information, please call 843-946-9580.
