Book Signing with Two Beaufort Authors

Charles Wersler and Sandra Fischer will be signing their books at McIntosh Book Shoppe in the Bay Street Marketplace, 919 Bay Street on Saturday, February 27 from noon until 3:00 pm Mr. Wersler’s book, Last Ferry to Beaufort is based on his study of personal photographs and historical documents concerning the last ferryman in Beaufort County, who also just happened to be his great grandfather, Captain Willie Roberts. Wersler was born in Beaufort and as a writer has a deep interest in the life and history of Beaufort.

Music as Art

For five years, Art League of Hilton Head artists have enlivened Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra’s annual concert program book with artwork relating to the concert themes and musical selections. From March 1-April 2, Art League Gallery will celebrate its collaboration with HHSO with the exhibition of “Music as Art.” An opening reception on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5-7 pm is free and open to the public.

By the Sea

Opening on Febraury 29, Beaufort Art Association presents “By The Sea,” a joint exhibit of fine jewelry and photography by two of the Lowcountry’s finest artists, Barbara Miller and Robert Ryzner. The two-month exhibit runs from Monday, February 29, through Saturday, April 30. Opening Reception is Friday, March 4, from 5:30 to 7:30. The public is invited. The work of over 60 other local member artists will also be on exhibit.

BAA Hosts 55th Annual Spring Show & Sale

Beaufort Art Association’s 55th Annual Spring Show will take place from Friday, February 26 through Monday, February 29 at a brand new venue this year – Tabby Place in Downtown Beaufort on Port Republic Street. Local artists will present their finest works for exhibit and for sale during the show. Oils, acrylics, watercolor, photography, mixed media, pottery, woodturning, stained glass and much more. Fine art jewelry has been added this year. Admission is free. Public is invited.
