Early this past Spring, the Arts Council of Beaufort County asked Lowcountry residents to take a survey about how they perceive new artists emerging here in Beaufort County. At the same time, free Get Your Art Out workshops were being offered by ACBC, through a grant from the Coastal Community Foundation.

Over the past two months, Riverview Charter School (RCS) has hosted five community meetings throughout the county and presented at various civic groups – giving Beaufort County residents a chance to learn more about the planned K-5 public school in Burton. The RCS planning committee has scheduled five additional meetings in May and June.

The Jazz Connection of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra is proud to present a “Sentimental Journey: The Songs of World War II”, a star-studded evening featuring Ray Charles and Lynn Roberts in concert, performing with an all-star band headed by local favorite, Bob Alberti.
