The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra (HHSO) invites music lovers throughout the Lowcountry to experience its 2026– 2027 Orchestra Series, with tickets now on sale for the Orchestra’s milestone 45th Anniversary Season.

Under the direction of Music Director John Morris Russell, the new season brings together the power and beauty of live orchestral music with world-renowned guest artists, beloved masterworks, holiday traditions, and special performances designed to bring audiences together. From sweeping symphonic works to intimate musical moments, the season offers something for both longtime HHSO patrons and those discovering the Orchestra for the first time.

“Music making deeply connects us,” says John Morris Russell, Music Director. “It expresses some of the most profound human feelings and opens hearts to the beauty around us.”

The 2026–2027 season begins Sunday, October 25, with a spectacular Opening Concert featuring internationally acclaimed pianist Olga Kern performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor,” followed by Tchaikovsky’s beloved Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture. The evening continues with a special 45th Anniversary Gala celebration, making the season opening a true celebration of music, community, and the Orchestra’s history.

Throughout the season, audiences can expect the range and richness that define an HHSO performance—powerful orchestral sound, breathtaking piano performances, familiar favorites, musical discovery, and the thrill of hearing exceptional artists perform live. The season also offers opportunities to experience music in different ways, from moments of quiet reflection and emotional depth to the energy and excitement of a full orchestra performing at its finest.
