The USCB Center for the Arts is currently exhibiting the Lowcountry Photography of Chris Kirk in its Main Gallery. A retired CPA who for the past decade has resided on St. Helena Island, Chris uses the other side of his brain to indulge his passionate hobby of photographing his Lowcountry home.
His work includes landscapes, wildlife, and coastal scenes. His photographs are presented in both canvas and high-quality photo paper formats, and there are over 25 of these pieces on display and available for sale. Chris’ ecology-oriented photography has been featured in many local, regional, and statewide publications over the past 8 years. He’s also been invited to display his work in a number of curated and juried art shows in both Beaufort and Colleton counties. In 2011 Chris received the distinction of winning the “Photography-Best in Show” award at the Beaufort city-wide art show. His photographs are regularly featured in magazines, directories, visitors guides, newspapers, and other publications.
The Lowcountry Photography of Chris Kirk will be on exhibit through April 1st at the USCB Center for the Arts in downtown Beaufort. For more information, call 521-4145 or visit www.uscbcenterforthearts.com
