The House of Ahhs in uptown Beaufort, is helping friends and parents of Beaufort High students prepare for their ART ATTACK.

BHS ART ATTACK, a fund raising art auction and art show, will be held April 5th in the Beaufort High School small gym.
The art auction will assist the Beaufort High School Track and Field team in purchasing traveling bags and shoes and to defer the cost of their traveling expenses.
Arts  Council of Beaufort County Director, JW Rone will be master of ceremonies and auctioneer for this event.  Starting at 1pm, Saturday April 5th, in the small gym at BHS, there will be time for viewing and silent bids prior to the live auction.  JW Rone is a work of art himself, no one wants to miss his enthusiastic approach to bidding.  His love of art makes him the perfect showman for the auction.
Local artists are always generous.  Once again, to help young folks, they are rallying around student athletes.  In support of BHS many pieces of original work, ranging from quilting to photography, canvas and wood, will be available to the highest bidder.   The artists are well known and represented at the House of Ahhs, names of note are James Denmark, Richard White, Bridget Murray, Pearce Hammond, Claudette Humphrey, Joe Johnson, John Andrews, Kitty Hardee, and more.  This is an ideal way to add to your art collection, while serving your community, just as these artists and this gallery are doing.
The Beaufort High School Art Department, under the guidance of Ginger Anderson, will have art works on display and available as part of the silent auction.  Donations for the auction are still being accepted and the House of Ahhs encourages all artists wanting to support our young athletes to bring in your contributions.  Art donations should be delivered to the gallery by Friday, April 4th.
A rare and special treat for lowcountry art lovers, a painting by acclaimed St. Helena artist, Sam Doyle, will be on exhibit for this show only.  Although Sam is most famous for his work on roofing tin, this piece is unique because it is on canvas and the detail is far greater than on his larger pieces.  Sam’s work is treasured by selected US museums and sought after by collectors around the world.
The Arts Council of Beaufort County, the House of Ahhs, Beaufort High School’s Principal Dan Durbin, Coaches Carolyn Bostic and Herbert Glaze,  Athletic Directors Jerry Lyn, and Beaufort High School’s Track and Field Team  join together to invite you to Beaufort High School’s Art Attack, April 5th starting at 1:00 P.M.
