11th Annual Taste of Beaufort to usher in May.
Main Street Beaufort is gearing up for the 11th Annual A Taste of Beaufort Festival, to be held Friday and Saturday, April 30-May 1, at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. This two-day event is a celebration of Spring, local food and fun in the Lowcountry. ‘Shaggin’ with A Taste’ will return for its second year on Friday evening, while Main Street Beaufort introduces the event’s first ever 5K run/walk on Saturday morning.
“We all look forward to Spring in The Lowcountry because we all know that with it comes A Taste of Beaufort!” said Main Street Beaufort Director LaNelle Fabian. “Shaggin’ with a Taste was such a hit last year and we can’t wait to put our dancing shoes on once again!”
The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday and include music by DJ Jim Bowers and food by area restaurants, including Brusters, Southern Graces, Paninis and Plums Restaurant.
The event’s 5K run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. Advanced registration is required. Saturday’s events continue from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Over 15 local restaurants will put their best foot forward, serving up some of their most popular items. Live music by local favorites Eric Daubert and Brandon Hage, Passafire, The Freeloaders and Reggae Infinity will accompany the event. Children’s games and activities will be also be available.
