Beaufort Performing Arts is happy to present DRUM! Nova Scotia’s musical production brings together four different cultures and, through the common theme of drumming and percussion, reveals their close relationship.

The spectacular production was inspired by the idea that every culture has a distinct rhythm.  Featuring twenty-four performers hailing from the four basic cultures of Nova Scotia – Acadian, Black, Celtic and Aboriginal – this show blends their distinctive rhythms with the native drum at its center.
DRUM has been well received since the show first came to the stage in 1999. DRUM communicates a message to the world: We can hold on to who we are and still share a song, a stage, a country, a world.
One theatre said this about the production: “The group DRUM displayed their finest and left a near full house of spectators in awe with their show of music, song and dance.” Another performance of DRUM had this rave review:  “What an incredible experience our audience had this evening with the production of DRUM!”  And still another: “This is one, if not the best, show     I’ve ever seen on this stage!”
