‘The Magical Sun Hat’ by Nancy Patrick Carney

The little art gallery with the red awning in downtown Bluffton has been home to many talented artists in its eleven-year history. We are excited to feature two of them this summer. One of the very best is Bill Winn – an owner/artist who signed on in the early days of La Petite Gallerie. Bill is skilled in all media – watercolor and acrylic are his latest favorites. He creates life-like

still lifes and moody landscapes, figure drawings and gorgeous shorebirds. He can – and does – paint just about anything! Bill has a talent drawn from his career as a medical illustrator, and a natural eye for seeing and capturing the beauty around him. As well as enjoying his paintings, visitors to the gallery love Bill’s wisdom, humor, and insights as to what makes great art. He is indeed a master of both art and gab!

The Gallerie is now excited to welcome its newest owner/artist, the talented Nancy Patrick Carney. Nancy creates joyful, imaginative art using paint and paper. Her bright colors, coastal themes and femine figures are very recognizable as hers, and are just delightful! She paints, often incorporating hand-painted papers, printed music and words, making art that is truly unique and cheerful. With a commercial art and illustration background, Nancy brings a unique spin to lowcountry art. Visitors will love her playful and vibrant pieces!

In this summer season La Petite Gallerie is celebrating both these creative people! Please stop by to see their art as well as the latest of the five other owner/artists, plus pottery, jewelry, garden art and more. There is something for everyone in the gallery and garden!

La Petite Gallerie is located at 56 Calhoun Street in Bluffton.
