Home muralist Lynn Fensterer at Atelier Off Bay

The work of home muralist Lynn Fensterer is currently being featured at Atelier Off Bay in downtown Beaufort.

Lynn says her journey to the Lowcountry and The Atelier began after she obtained her degree in graphic design, which led to several unfulfilling jobs in the New York City area.

“I was searching for a way to imprint my artistic passion and become personally connected to my art,” she says. Channeling her love for interior design, she eventually began a new career painting murals in homes, helping to adapt and complement her clients’ personal styles.

“It was a success, and my clients in the Hamptons led me to not only painting on Long Island and the Northeast, but Palm Beach, Seattle and San Francisco. I painted directly on the wall creating the beauty that I had always wanted to share!”

After many years, Lynn found she needed a way to create these artworks in a studio environment
instead of on scaffolding in her clients’ homes. “Highly inconvenient!” she says.

“My Aha! moment happened when I discovered a 54″ paintable liner that could be applied just like wallpaper. The panels are executed to fit the clients’ specifications for the space, style and color palette. The possibilities are endless!”

When completed, the panels are rolled into tubes and shipped to the location to be hung by a professional wallpaper hanger.

“I love helping people uncover their style to makes their homes unique,” says Lynn. “I feel so very fortunate to be a part of the eclectic group of artists at the Atelier Off Bay. It’s always a thrill to work with people and create artwork to complement their homes. I am thankful every day to have been gifted with the ability to be the vessel that brings this gorgeous artwork and my dream to fruition.”

Lynn Fensterer’s work will be on exhibit through the end of June. Atelier Off Bay is located at 203 West Street. For more information visit www.atelieroffbay.com
