In May of 2008 nine artists all connected via the Lowcountry traveled to Italy on a mission to paint every day in a different location in Umbria.

The experience was so rewarding each artist has continued to dream, draw and paint the scenes of such a rich cultural history.

The resulting paintings will be on display at the Beaufort County Library on Hilton Head Island at 11 Beach City Road from December 1st to January 8, 2010.

The art includes watercolors, oils , acrylics as well as collages.  Subjects are to include landscapes, architectural studies, figurative and still life objects.

An opening reception is open to the public and is to be December 5 from 2-4 PM.  Visitors have an opportunity to meet the artists.  Refreshments will be served.

The 9 artists are from Bluffton, Hilton Head island, Savannah, Georgia, and Bryson City , NC, and Wisconsin. They are: Lynda K. Potter, Janina Cushman, Peggy Duncan, Terry Hendrickson, Diane Irwin, George Irwin, Kathy Miller, Helen Nowoswiat, MaryAnn Putzier.
