Nationally acclaimed photographer Jon Holloway is coming to Beaufort to celebrate our state park system.

His new book BEAUTIFUL PLACES, The Timeless Beauty of South Carolina State Parks, commemorates the 75th anniversary of our state park system, has just been released.  The 140-page hardcover coffee table book contains more than 100 stunning images from all 47 of our state parks, paired with a comprehensive history of the state park system. 
    Jon Holloway, of Greenwood, whose work been exhibited internationally and has appeared in such venues as National Geographic,  spent a year on the project, capturing the parks through the seasons.  He will share his experiences and images with the Beaufort community on Friday night, November 6 at 7pm at MacLean Hall Auditorium at the Technical College. 
      Jon reflects: "The mountains, piedmont and coast have nourished my spirit."  In his photo show and lecture he will share the beauty of South Carolina that is right outside your door.  Presented by the Photography Club of Beaufort and partially funded by a grant through the Arts Council of Beaufort County, the program is free and the public is encouraged to attend.   Anyone who loves the outdoors or who wants to learn more about the scenic beauty of our remarkable state, should mark their calendars now.
