This is the second exhibition at the Coastal Discovery Museum and the fifth for the group. The artists include: Cindy Chiappetta, Jo Dye, Vicki Jourdan, Sharon Collings Licata, Mark Larkin, Mary Jane Martin, Mary Sullivan, Lane Palmisano, Joan Templer, Arla Crumlick Wible, Caroll Williams and Irene K. Williamson. Wible refers to her work as “Child’s Play” She says, “Many look at abstract art and say it looks like a 6 year old did it. In truth, the compositions, play of colors, use of line, understanding of form and openness to the unexpected do require the spirit of a child but an adult’s experience.”
The opening reception is September 11 from 5-7 pm. Wine and refreshments will be served while you meet all the artists. A coffee, walk and talk will be held on October 16 at 10:30 am. The artists will be present to discuss their work while you enjoy some coffee and something to nibble on.
Finally, the closing reception takes place on November 4 from 5-6 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
