The annual goods and services auction sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Beaufort scheduled Saturday, December 5 promises as much excitement and variety as in years past.
Organizers will offer wine, hors d’ oeuvres and a silent auction at 5 p.m. followed by a live auction at 6 on the UUFB campus, 178 Sams Point Rd., Lady’s Island (about 1 mile north of Publix). Atlanta auctioneer Tony Barbagallo, known for his energy and enthusiasm, has agreed to return once again.
Auction pieces are priced for all budgets and range from vacation packages to pet sitting. Other possible bid selections include dinners and cocktail parties, a sunset cruise, art works and photos, yoga, concerts, yard work, facials, oyster roast, pies or cakes.
Twenty-percent of the money made on the auction will be spent in Beaufort County on such organizations as Second Helpings, Family Promise, Thumbs Up, CODA, Born to Read, Penn Center, Beaufort Soil and Conservation District Children’s Education
Program, Adopt a Highway, Marshview Organic Community Farm, HELP Mobile Meals and others.
Auction Chairman Jim Miller said its always a fun evening. “Not only will people have the opportunity to win great prizes, but they will enjoy delicious heavy hors d’ oeuvres, wine and other beverages plus they will have the pleasure of seeing one of the wittiest and most dynamic auctioneers ever.”
