In 1879 playwright Henrik Ibsen set off a minor earthquake in his controversial drama, A Doll’s House, when Nora Helmer, defying all societal norms, walks out of her marriage.
Lean Ensemble Theater explores what happened in the years following that fateful moment in its new production A Doll’s House, Part 2, Lucas Hnath’s darkly comic sequel to Isben’s masterpiece. Nora must not only face her husband but also the maid who sacrificed her own family life to raise Nora’s children, as well as her grownup estranged daughter who is about to take her own walk down the aisle.
Directed by Lean Ensemble Artistic Director Blake White, the show features Taylor Harvey and J. Richey Nash along with ensemble members Peggy Trecker White and Jenny Zmarzly.
