veterans historyThe Technical College of the Lowcountry is proud to partner with the Library of Congress and Parris Island to host veterans for a day of storytelling and filming.

A national initiative, The Veterans History Project, collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.

Filming and Collection Day will take place from 9 am to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, July 31 on Parris Island. Veterans who are interested in sharing their stories are asked to complete a brief online form at www.tcl.edu/vhp. TCL will then follow up individually to provide details.

Participating veterans will enjoy a catered lunch, access to the Parris Island Museum, and base tours (free of charge) as they share their invaluable stories, pictures, and letters in a personal one-on-one setting.
