Runners and live music enthusiasts are in for a double dose of excitement on Saturday, April 18, 2026, when the Beaufort Executive Airport (locally known as Frogmore Intranational) hosts a full day of fitness, food, and entertainment. This year marks the fifth annual Flying Frog 5K/10K and the highly anticipated debut of Frog Fest, a music festival. All proceeds from the day’s festivities will benefit OPFOB (Operation Patriots FOB), a Ridgeland-based outdoor retreat dedicated to supporting active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families. You can learn more about their mission at OPFOB.org
The Flying Frog 5K/10K will kickoff at 8:00 am, and will offer a unique experience – running directly on the 3,400-foot airport runway. The USATF-certified course is famously fast and flat, extending into the scenic marshlands surrounding the airport. Participants can sign up at runsignup.com/Race/SC/LadysIsland/TheFlyingFrog5K. Every race registration includes complimentary admission to the Frog Fest music festival.
The Frog Fest Music Festival starting at 10:00 am will extend the excitement long after the runners cross the finish line. This first-ever event will feature nine local bands from across the Lowcountry – stretching from Hardeeville to Charleston – bands who will donate their time and talents to support the OPFOB cause. Admission to Frog Fest is only $10 for the general public, and free for registered runners and children under 12.
