The Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival is proud to present its inaugural Official Poster Competition. Student Artists who are students 18 years or older, enrolled in Art and/or Graphic Design programs of study and residents of South Carolina and Georgia may submit original works for consideration in the design contest for the 2012 Festival Poster. These designs are then judged by a panel representing both the culinary and art communities. The design should reflect Hilton Head Island’s rich history and exciting food and wine scene, while featuring attributes that would aptly reflect the festival. Artists should keep in mind that the poster design will be used in many marketing and retail materials.
Winning Prize Details:
Entry into the competition is free. The competition is open to student artists 18 years and older, enrolled in Art and/or Graphic Design programs of study, residing in South Carolina and Georgia. About the 27th Annual Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival:
The 2012 Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival will be held March 5 – 10, 2012. The Great Chefs of the South Wine Dinners will take place at various locations on Hilton Head Island, Monday March 5 through Friday, March 9, 2012. The Grand Tasting and Silent Auction will be held on Friday, March 9 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Conference Center, ticket prices are $65 per person. The Wine & Food Festival and Silent Auction will be held from 12 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. The Pre-Festival events include, “Uncork” the Festival on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Bomboras Grille, and the International Wine Judging and Competition, Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Sea Pines Resort, Harbour Town Conference Center. The Saturday and Sunday Wine Judging and Competition event is not open to the public. Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival event tickets are available for purchase online, with advance ticket discounts available for the Wine & Food Festival, Saturday, March 10, 2012, regular ticket price $45 – advance purchase available on-line for $39.99.
The 2012 Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival’s Silent Auctions will benefit educational opportunities for students in the Hospitality programs of study at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and the Technical College of the Lowcountry through the John T. and Valerie Curry scholarship fund.
