Over the past two months, Riverview Charter School (RCS) has hosted five community meetings throughout the county and presented at various civic groups – giving Beaufort County residents a chance to learn more about the planned K-5 public school in Burton. The RCS planning committee has scheduled five additional meetings in May and June. The informational meetings last about one hour and include a presentation, question and answer session and one-one-one time with committee members. All residents are encouraged to attend to learn the facts about charter schools and the specifics about Riverview.

• May 24th – Boys & Girls Club – 10:30 am

RCS’s mission is to create a small, diverse learning community that actively engages students in meaningful and innovative learning experiences. Emphasizing learning by doing, family and community involvement, and engaged citizenship, Riverview is committed to nurturing the whole child and preparing each student for a global society.
