South Carolina Repertory Company presents Rounding Third by Richard Dresser directed by Tom Evans featuring Matt Bridges & Blake White.
Don and Michael are two well-meaning dads eager to coach their sons’ Little League team to victory—as soon as they can agree on exactly what that means! Veteran coach Don wants to win at all costs; newcomer Michael just wants the kids to have fun. Stuck together for an entire season, they struggle to resolve their differences and get their team to the championship. This sidesplitting send-up of modern parenting hits a home run with its thought provoking look at raising kids in a world where winning is everything.
Michael is played by SCRC Associate Producer Blake White, whom audiences will remember from Doubt, The Car, Proof, and Professional Skepticism among others. Portraying Don is Matt Bridges, who was last seen in SCRC’s production of Almost, Maine. Spearheading the production is SCRC mainstay Tom Evans, who has previously helmed over 15 productions for SCRC, including Rabbit Hole, Foxfire and Four Beers.
