The Coastal Discovery Museum is pleased to announce a new exhibit showcasing prize-winning images from Nikon’s Small World competition, in the Sea Island Gallery, from March 15 to May 5. Admission is free.
The 20 images captured by a light microscope are part of Nikon’s annual photomicrography competition, which is open to anyone with an interest in microscopy and photography.
“Visitors to the exhibit will see stunning images that reveal a world hidden to the naked eye,” said Elizabeth Greenberg, Director of Exhibitions at the Coastal Discovery Museum. “Beyond their visual impact, photos that celebrate the intersection of science and art can also contribute to advances in medical and life sciences.”
Each year, the Small World exhibit travels throughout North America to selected
museums and science centers. To view the complete collection of winning images, visit www.nikonsmallworld.com.
Nikon’s Small World calendars, featuring the winning images, are available to purchase at the Museum’s store.
