Gullah Geechee heritage, the Lowcountry, and cultural storytelling. Farris is Artist Laureate of the Technical College of the Lowcountry and has judged major fine arts competitions nationally. Mr. Farris said he was honored to judge but it was a very difficult decision with so many wonderful and diverse pieces.
“For the winning pieces, I tried to select artwork that was engaging and told a story and was inspired by living in the Lowcountry,” said Farris.
The exhibit also included 50 pieces by local high school students hailing from Beaufort High, Bridges Preparatory, and Learn Together Lowcountry Homeschool Cooperative.
