Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority held its annual Customer Appreciation Week recently, in conjunction with the American Water Works Association’s Drinking Water Week. Staff members gave customers up-to-date information on their drinking water, water quality and water conservation techniques. A free drawing was also held, and two customers won rain barrels.
BJWSA also sponsored a poster contest, in which over 330 fourth through eighth graders from area schools participated. The theme of the poster contest was “Water Works Wonders.” The winning poster artist hails from the fourth grade at Thomas Heyward Academy. The prize? A free pizza party for the entire class, compliments of BJWSA.
Customer Appreciation Week is held each year, but BJWSA encourages all customers to get informed about our local water sources, water quality and water conservation throughout the year.
