Since 2000, Art League of Hilton Head has awarded an annual scholarship in the amount of $2000 to a graduating high school senior who is studying or living on Hilton Head Island and attending a local high school.
This year the applicants who were interviewed in April were of such high caliber that Art League added two additional $500 scholarships. The scholarship program encourages students to develop their art skills and pursue a career in visual arts.
Congratulations to Carolanne O’Fee (above), winner of Art League of Hilton Head’s annual $2000 art scholarship. Carolanne stands first in her senior class of 248 at Hilton Head High School where she is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program candidate. Carolanne’s outstanding artwork is strong, versatile, confident, and displays a quality and ingenuity mature beyond her years. She has been accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in fashion merchandising.
Congratulations to Emma Walls winner of a $500 art scholarship from Art League of Hilton Head. Emma excels in all her IB Visual Arts classes, stands 4th in a class of 248, and is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program candidate at Hilton Head High School. Her artwork stands out illustrating a strong, mature, thoughtful, inventive and creative ability. Emma has been accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design where she will major in illustration or advertising.
Congratulations to Clarissa Walls winner of a $500 art scholarship from Art League of Hilton Head. She excels in all her International Baccalaureate Diploma Program classes that are the most rigorous course of study offered at Hilton Head High School where she stands 8th in a senior class of 248. Her artwork illustrates her reflective qualities that are both delicate and confident, and clearly shows her creative abilities. Clarissa has been accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in animation.
