St. Helena Elementary School invites parents and members of the community to Community Arts Night, Thursday, January 31st, 4-7:30pm.


To celebrate the arts and student achievement, SHES presents this fun and informative event that includes many opportunities for the community to get involved in the arts. The event is free.

– Parents can meet the artists who work at SHES, and experience the creative process through hands-on activities.
– Free Spaghetti dinner for everyone who attends.
– PTO session will provide important updates.
– Community Cultural Heritage Scholar Anita Singleton-Prather will speak about the Gullah Curriculum.
– Students will present a special dance performance.

The whole family is welcome. Supervised childcare will be provided. Families who are interested in attending are asked to call 838-0300 to make dinner reservations.

“This is a great opportunity to connect the community and children to the arts through hands-on experiences,” said Priscilla Drake, principal of St. Helena Elementary School. “Community Arts Night is also an opportunity to help restore the excitement to our school.”
