The Society of Bluffton Artists presents “A Little This, A Little That,” the oil and watercolor paintings of renowned artist and art instructor Dennis Lake.
After twenty years in the US Air Force interrupted his budding illustration career, Dennis returned to his first love, painting, in 1986. He found himself teaching art in high school and college and free-lancing with murals, portraits, gilding, painting of all kinds in the Mid-Tennessee region. Now that he has retired and moved to Bluffton, he is continuing instructing and painting with oils, acrylics and watercolor.
The show includes the work of over 90 other local artists and will be exhibited now through June 2. The public is invited to a reception for the artist from 3 – 5 pm, Sunday April 29 at the SOBA Gallery, where refreshments will be served.
