If you love the sounds of a BIG Band you are in for a treat on Sunday, January 25 at USCB Center for the Arts. The LCCB Jazz Band, a sub-group of the Lowcountry Community Concert Band (LCCB) will perform a free concert at 3 pm.
The LCCB Jazz band is sponsored by University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). The LCCB Jazz Band is primarily an academic group that promotes and curates Jazz in the context of a large ensemble dynamic or “big band.” The Jazz Band’s members recreate the sounds and styles of the many famous bands of the Big Band era. Popular favorites on the program include: Eager Beaver, Lil’ Darlin’, My Funny Valentine, They Can’t Take That Away From Me.
The LCCB Jazz Band performance is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 2:30 and seating is general admission.
