Great news for fans of literature in the Lowcountry! The inaugural Short Story America Festival and Conference is scheduled for September 21-23, 2012 right here in historic Beaufort.
This leading arts community is a perfect destination for writers and readers of short fiction, and is the home of Short Story America. The event venues will include the USCB Center for Performing Arts, Short Story America, and the beautiful rooftop at Old Bay Marketplace, among others.
The Short Story America Festival and Conference will be a coming-together of writers, readers, teachers and publishers of short stories. If you love short fiction, from reading to discussion, from writing stories to meeting authors to helping students in developing their writing craft, then you will enjoy the Short Story America Festival and Conference! Author readings, writing seminars, book signings and discussions, professional development for teachers, shopping from a variety of vendors, and social gatherings will highlight the annual three-day celebration of the short story.
