Spring means Farmers Markets all over the Lowcountry are gearing up for a new season spotlighting local growers, craftspeople and producers of all sorts. At Lowcountry Weekly we’re committed to the concept of putting fresh and local first and we’ll feature each and every market during the course of the season.
As of April 1st the Habersham Farmers Market is back 
beneath the live oaks in the Marketplace each Friday afternoon through November with an extra special First Friday. “First Fridays” mean an expanded farmer’s market with an amazing assortment of produce along with arts, crafts, and live music starting at 4 pm and wrapping up under the lights. Indulge in great food from Maggie’s Pub, Piace Pizza, Berto’s Grill, Claudine’s Creperie and Pino Gelato, among others.
The May First Friday features a Springtime Beaufort’s Got Talent Contest (contestants are still needed, all ages and talents). There is no cost to enter and First Fridays are always free and open to the public.
