Lowcountry Made is holding a special Mother’s Day shopping event from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Burnt Church Distillery, located at 120 Bluffton Road.

“It’s a fun opportunity to buy thoughtful handmade gifts this Mother’s Day,” said Katie Silva, founder of Lowcountry Made. “This is a great opportunity to support our local makers — from locally made sweet treats to handcrafted goods.”

Part of Lowcountry Made’s Bluffton Artisan Market, the open-air shopping event features booths from local vendors, food trucks and live entertainment at a neat venue close to historic Old Town Bluffton. Hospice Care of the Lowcountry will be the charity in attendance for this market.

The markets occur from 1-5 p.m. every second Sunday through the end of the year at the Burnt Church Distillery. The next market is from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 11. The Mother’s Day market from 1-5 p.m. May 2 will take the May timeslot, which means there will not be a market on May 9th.
