One of the largest Halloween activities in Northern Beaufort County is making a comeback on Sunday, October 29th.  The Lowcountry Jaycees is sponsoring the event, with support from the Town of Port Royal, and the YMCA.  Just as in the past, when there were over a thousand Trick or Treaters, the festivities will take place on Paris Avenue from 3PM – 5PM. The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department will have a fully equipped fire truck, with the crew, on display, as will the Beaufort County Emergency Medical Service with an emergency vehicle and crew. Hot dogs and lemonade will be available for hungry Trick or Treaters.

Because of the Covid pandemic, the event has been postponed for the last couple years, but it is now back. The organizing committee hopes to build it back to its pre-covid size. Children simply need to show up to participate.  Adults wishing to provide a “Trunk” need to sign up at lowcountryjaycees@gmail.comand be there between 2:00 and 2:30 for setup. Local organizations that wish to sponsor the event should contact Kelly Mason at kmason@portroyal.org.

Because of incidents at past Trunk or Treat events, pets are strictly prohibited.
