The Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation is going above and beyond for this year’s Valentine’s Ball, creating a full-scale Venetian Masquerade.
Venice will come alive at the Lyceum the evening of February 9th,” says Anne Helm, in charge of this year’s decorations..
“A gondolier will park your car; you’ll sip a bilini as you walk under the Rialto Bridge; chat with friends at Harry’s Bar; dance in St. Mark’s Square, and drink espresso at cafe tables.
On top of all that, artist-designed masks will highlight the silent auction.
Helping create this fantasy will be Meeting Dynamics, who are building sets that include a painting of St. Mark’s Cathedral and a Rialto Bridge “replica.”
Local artist Mary Segars painted the picture on this year’s invitation (see above).
All proceeds will benefit the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation.
