Over one hundred volunteers are involved in the 2008 Valentine Ball.
The committee heads are hard at work making plans for the 2008 Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation Valentine Ball, which will take place on February 7, 2009. This year’s Ball Co-chairs are Dr. and Mrs. Lonny Nunamaker and Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Goodridge.
In celebration of the hospital’s 65th anniversary, the annual gala will be held under an elaborate, heated tent in Kate Gleason Park. Over 500 people are expected to attend this black tie fundraising event to benefit Women’s Services. Each guest will dine at an elegant dinner party in a private residence in Beaufort before convening for dancing and dessert.
While the hospital celebrates its 65th anniversary, the Valentine Ball itself is turning twenty this year. In keeping with this special birthday, the gala’s theme will be “The Roaring Twenties;” the decorating committee hopes to evoke the glamorous atmosphere of the legendary Jazz Age.
