PAL-Sosa-PhotoShopping online never sounded so sweet! Take part in the 8th Annual Bid for PAL Online Auction, and help Palmetto Animal League save homeless pets. Visit www.PALauction.org Friday, April 21 at 8 a.m. through Monday, April 24 at 10 p.m. to get great deals on hundreds of fantastic items.

PAL’s online auction is not only a great way to help rescue animals in need, it’s also an opportunity to support local businesses. The auction is an online showcase of the fabulous products, services and experiences our coastal community has to offer.

With over 650 items up for bid, there is truly something for everyone, including golf packages, vacations, spa treatments, home décor, jewelry and more. Among the many sought-after items, you will find a one-night stay, including breakfast, at THE WILLCOX Hotel in Aiken, a Belfair Dental Care gift certificate valued at $500, a hand-signed giclee by Master Artist Morten E Solberg Sr., and a $700 gift certificate for Permanent Cosmetics Hilton Head.

“With so many options in one place, it’s fun to browse the online catalog and shop from home,” says Cheryl Curry, who has participated in the auction for several years. “You can set a maximum bid on your favorite items and check back later to see how your bid is doing.”

Curry suggests that folks start browsing today so when the auction goes live on April 21st at 8 a.m. they’ll be ready to snag those favorite items. “It’s a shopping experience like no other,” she said. “Because the money you spend allows PAL to rescue animals and give them a second chance at life.”

PAL’s Adoption Center, located in Okatie’s Riverwalk Business Park, is a cheery, cozy and welcoming facility that provides a home-like environment for more than 200 cats and dogs while they wait to be adopted. Located at the same facility, PAL’s Community Clinic offers wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuter and other vital services at affordable prices.

Supporters – both the businesses that donate items to the auction and those who bid on them – allow PAL to save hundreds of abandoned, abused and neglected pets each year.

“By taking part in the Bid for PAL Online Auction, you are changing an animal’s life forever,” said PAL President Amy Campanini.

One of those animals is Sosa (above), who was discarded by his owner and brought to PAL with a leg injury, probably suffering emotional abuse along the way. PAL’s dog behaviorist has been working with Sosa, helping him learn to cope with separation anxiety and a fear of confined spaces. He is a faithful dog who deserves a loving, committed adopter. Sosa is great to walk, loves a good nap and, above all, he is a loyal boy who would make a wonderful companion. He will stay in the care of PAL’s dedicated staff and volunteers until he finds his forever home.

With the Bid for PAL Online Auction, you can shop with the satisfaction of knowing you are saving pets like Sosa – and these are Lives Worth Saving. Visit www.PALauction.org April 21 – 24 and let your heart do the bidding.
