The 2nd Annual Artisans and Antiques at Habersham is happening April 12, Saturday, from 10-4. The streets and greens of Habersham Marketplace will be filled with artisans, craftsmen, artists and antique booths.

 

All the specialty shops featuring antiques, leatherwork, porch accessories, Bibles, and an antique restoration service will be open. Light lunches, desserts and Italian ice will be available to enjoy on outdoor patios overlooking the marketplace.

Some of the arts and crafts featured will be pottery, cards, jewelry and accessories, charming sundresses, sweetgrass baskets, floral, coastal, shell and nautical art, wood turnings, outdoor furniture, fine and folk art, honey, dolls, soaps, clothing, fused glass, handmade furniture, and home decor. A garden center will welcome spring with a display of plants and gardening ideas.

Antique shops and dealer booths will be offering antique furniture, art, lamps, vintage linens, Limoge
glass, French and English accents, sterling silverware jewelry, Chinese porcelain and accessories and more.

Philip Greene from Round O, SC will display his hand built 19′ canoe, model Whistlewood, made of Honduras mahogany and sapele from W. Africa. This will be an eye-catcher for Habersham since it is on the Broad River.

Admission is free to this event and plenty of parking is available. Habersham Marketplace is located off 170  just north of the Broad River Bridge, then to Broad River Blvd., then west on Joe Frazier Rd., and to the fork in the road left to Cherokee Farms Rd., then to Habersham Marketplace, 13 Market St., Beaufort.
