On Friday, November 16, Beaufort Performing Arts, Inc. will be thrilled to present Junie B. Jones, the first of its four children shows known as PJ & Play.
This performance is part of the theatre series for children three to twelve years of age. It will take place at 7 pm at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Performing Arts Center. Please feel free to bring your child or children in pajamas, all ready for bed. We hope this event will serve as their bedtime story–only with live characters and plenty of entertainment. All participants will receive a Steve Brown cookie and a glass of milk. There must be at least one (1) adult accompanying every four (4) children.
This 60-minute musical is based on the books by Barbara Parks. Outspoken, precocious, lovable Junie B. Jones stars in a colorful, funny, fast-paced musical about new friends, new glasses, sugar cookies, the annual kickball tournament, and various first-grade angst-ridden situations. Follow her adventures as she writes down the story of her life in her “Top-Secret Personal Beewax Journal.”
This new musical is based on four volumes of Barbara Park’s Junie B. Jones series of books, illustrated by Denise Brunkus and published by Random House: Junie B, First Grader (at Last!); Junie B, Boss of Lunch; Junie B, One-Man Band; and Top-Secret Personal Beeswax: A Journal by Junie B. Jones (and Me!).
Tickets are on sale now at University of South Carolina Beaufort’s Performing Arts Center. Subscriptions are available, as well. Tickets may be purchased by phone.
