David Addington, digital photographer, will be the featured speaker at the December 8th meeting of the Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA).
Addington will discuss and demonstrate his techniques for creating astoundingly beautiful, extraordinary and unique images using digital photography tools. He will often take a picture and then enhance it to fully exploit its interest or beauty abstracting the image as far as his imagination will take him using digital tools to do tradition manipulations like: making double exposures, using infrared film, adjusting brightness and contrast, dodging and burning not to enhance but to abstract, using a pinhole camera, alternative methods of printing such as cyanotype, Van Dyke, gum dichromate, or xerography.
The meeting will be held at the Bluffton Library from 2- 3:30 pm. For more information call 843-757-6586 or visit www.sobagalleries.com
