“Coral 1” by Flavia Lovatelli

CraftHiltonHead2022, 8th Regional Juried Fine Art Craft Guild Exhibition, seeks 2D and 3D fine art craft entries that encompass exemplary creativity, experimentation, and imagination, showcasing what can be accomplished with few restrictions. Works will be chosen by several esteemed jurors based on artistic excellence, innovation, and originality. This is a juried gallery show in a community that loves art and buys art. Over $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded by a nationally recognized judge. The selection of the finalists will be made by Joanna Angell. Joanna is a fourth-generation artist working in ceramics, printmaking, drawing and painting. Joanna holds a BA in English from Drew University and an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Georgia where she studied lithography with Tamarind printmaker

“Rejoice” by Deneece Harrell

Charles Morgan and ceramics with Ron Meyers. She continues to study in various workshops at the Penland School of Crafts. Her ceramics, prints and paintings are in numerous private and corporate collections including the President’s collection at the University of Georgia. She has participated in a number of juried exhibitions, winning merit and purchase awards for her work, and was three times included in the traveling exhibit Palmetto Hands. She has received several scholarships to the Penland School of Crafts, and continues to serve as a crew chief for Penland’s Annual Benefit Auction. Joanna’s ceramic work is represented in the Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center Store and Kobo Gallery in Savannah, Georgia.

“Argalia” by Kate Hanley

This exhibition will be free and open to the public from October 4 – November 12, 2022 at Art League Gallery located inside Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, SC. An opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 5, from 5-7pm. This exhibition will take place during the entire run of a professionally produced performance of Little Shop of Horrors on the stage of Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Since the gallery is located inside the Arts Center, we expect to host an additional 100 to 200 theatre-goers each evening in addition to our regular visitors.
