The latest 100 Women Who Care donation of $11,300 to Dragon Boat Beaufort brought the total donations of this organization to local Beaufort Charities to $339,000.00! This remarkable achievement was accomplished by the organization founded in 2015 by Jeneane Ryan.
The membership varies, but has never been less than 100 women. Each member pledges to meet 4 times a year, and donate $100.00 to the local charity selected by vote at that meeting. The meetings are no-frills – no socializing, no refreshments, just down to business and done in an hour. They don’t have a Board and not even a bank account. The money is donated by each member to the selected charity.
