“Learn from the same artist who gave portraiture lessons to President George W. Bush,” says Amy Wehrman, Art League Academy Manager. “This is a rare opportunity to explore portrait drawing in soft pastel medium with Professor Vilas Tonape, an internationally recognized artist and teacher.”
Participants will learn the basics of creating pastel portraits and how to develop their existing portraiture skills. Professor Tonape will teach layering, color mixing and color theory using a live model, from direct observation. This workshop is for students at all skill levels.
The four-day workshop will be held from Wednesday, August 8 through Saturday, August 11, from 9-3 PM each day. The price for the workshop is $360 for Art League of Hilton Head members and $400 for non-members.
