Pam Davis has always had her hand in some form of art whether it’s canvas, fabric, furniture, walls or decorating homes. Davis painted in the photo realism style for many years until she relaxed into her own unique, impressionistic style. She specializes in animal portraits and landscapes.
Davis is the featured artist for June at The Society of Bluffton Artists. Her art exhibition will run from June 4 through July 1. An opening reception is scheduled from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at the gallery in Old Town Bluffton.
Davis’ art draws inspiration from the beautiful places she has lived across the country, such as New England, Georgia, Colorado, Texas and Arizona. Davis’ creative journey led to a business called Pam’s Pretties, where she painted on items such as clothing, shoes and purses and sold in retail. She carried the business for 14 years from Dallas to Atlanta before she began taking classes from professional artists and professors from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
“I paint from my heart,” Davis said. “I attempt to awaken emotions in viewers so they can personally relate to my painting.”
Davis shows her paintings in the Bluffton area and accepts commissions. For more information on Davis, visitwww.PalettesByPam.com.
