A very special gallery exhibit has been created by Diane Britton Dunham and Natalie Daise to celebrate What it Means to Be Free: Art of Women of Color. The art exhibit is inspired by The Room: Stories and Songs for Free Women, by Sara and Natalie Daise. It features the work of women of color, exploring the meaning of “freedom” in different mediums.
Artist work on display includes: Natalie Daise, Diane Britton Durham, Kayla Grayson, Marie Lewis, Lisa Gilyard – Rivers, Brenda Singleton, Saundra Renee Smith, Bernice Mitchell Tate, Marquita Willis, Margaret Warfield. The exhibit is free and open to the pubic through April 6, 10 am until 6 pm and during performances. The public is invited to a reception with the artists on Thursday, March 19 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
